STAY TUNED!

“O ye children of men! The fundamental purpose animating the Faith of God and His Religion is to safeguard the interests and promote the unity of the human race, and to foster the spirit of love and fellowship amongst men.”

Join us in working toward our common goals of equality for all people, the acknowledgement of the common spiritual teachings of all religions, and service to others as a form of worship. The Bahá'ís of Bainbridge Island welcome you.

We are a small, self-governing community without clergy. All members are asked to pursue spiritual discipline and contribute to the welfare of the global human family. The Bainbridge Bahá'í community, though small in number, has a diversity of race, culture, gender, age, income, and interests; this diversity strengthens our combined wisdom. In individual spiritual development, the solutions to prejudice and hatred can be found. We constantly strive to educate ourselves, to overcome challenges, and to create friendships with those who are different from us.

In accordance with our belief in the independent investigation of truth, we hold an informational meeting for the public online on the third Friday of every month. A speaker, followed by open discussion, allows interested people to participate as much or as little as they want.

Gone are the days in which people needed to be told what was good or bad. This is the day in which all are called to be responsible for contributing to an ever-advancing civilization. We find sustenance for this endeavor in the writings of our Prophet founder, Baháʼu'lláh, Who wrote:

“... Ye are the fruits of one tree, and the leaves of one branch. Deal ye with one another with the utmost love and harmony… So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole earth.”

With warmest greetings,

The Local Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of Bainbridge Island
